The Frome RFC 2nd XV were the only senior side in action at the weekend, due to a rearranges fixture following the snow the previous weekend.

The side welcomed Devizes RFC 2nd XV to The Lane on Saturday, in what was set the be a thriller of a game with the visitors only sitting above the Frome side by one place.

Following the 26-0 defeat earlier in the season to the Wiltshire side, it was Frome who got off to the better start, some well worked plays between the Forwards and Backs saw great field position before the home side would cross over for the first points of the day with Dominic Jones going over, Max Stickley adding the extras.

The Frome Pack were working well and setting a superb platform for the backs to attack from. Front Rower, Kyle Stickley would cross over twice, following a break from Flanker Matt Smith, who was able to offload out of the tackle for Kyle Stickley to crash over the line.

It wasn't long until the backline would find the space, and Sam Cassidy, Simon Finch (x2) and Kyle Williamson would all fit the ball down to score.

We'd like to wish 2nd XV Captain, Max Stickley a speedy and healthy recovery as he was from the field following a head collision.

The final points of the day came from Second Row James Howard who ran a great  supporting line to crash over for the try.

Full Time score: Frome RFC II 46 - 0 Devizes RFC II
