AS more and more events are being organised locally Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Frome each weekend.

As many people are aware, Sunday the Frome Independent roars into town. Those not so keen - those who have to get into town to visit family or drop off at the community fridge - but as organisers are keen to stress it brings thousands of visitors to the town, and puts more than pennies in pockets.

But if you want an alternative every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

And don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Frome Nub News.

Simply follow this link to our What's On HERE : the Frome site and click the black 'Nub It' button to get started.

Here are our top events for the weekend ahead:

Friday: Grooverider will be playing 23 Bath Street, expect a banger of a set. More details HERE:

Remember keeping live music live is what it is all about

On Saturday: With the biggest Abba reunion now on, but tickets hard to come by, how about the next best thing? Over at Strode Theatre the tribute. Details HERE:

Take a chance of them and say thank you for their music.

And on Sunday: If you fancy heading out of town (away from the Frome Independent !) It is the last day of the Cam Valley arts trail - over the last nine years the group has established a really good reputation for showcasing quality original handcrafted work. HERE are the details

lots of local artists showing off their work spaces and selling their paintings, ceramics, jewellery .. and more

And looking ahead to November 24. The Legendary Frank Bruno is in town - an evening with the boxing giant at the Cheese & Grain - details about tickets click HERE: the Frome Whats On site
