Frome RFC U15's Boys took on Ashley Down RFC U15's on a blustery Sunday morning. The game started with both teams having good possession and strong runs around the fringes. The deadlock was broken on the sixth minute with Ben Freeman scoring a well executed try.
For the next twenty minutes the game was nip and tuck with some powerful rucking and mauling from both sides with particular hard line runs by Ewan Cox and Harry Greenwood. Ashley Down equalled the score when their winger picked up the ball in the loose to score in the corner.
Frome then gained the lead not long afterwards with the ball spun wide through the hands of Kieran Stacey and Jonas Mills. Harry Webster then grubber kicked the ball through Ashley Downs back line, to run though. He was illegally taken off the ball, on the line, which resulted in a penalty try.

With Frome making eight changes at half time, showing their depth and strength in their large squad, they began to gain more dominance. Frome scored immediately after the whistle. With the ball being gathered up by Liam Backhurst who danced his way through three defenders to touch the ball down under the post. Greenwood converted the extras. With
Over the next few passages of play, Frome had some huge carry's from Adam Hancock and Rob Norris, the Ashley Down boys showed they could tackle well. Again both teams were at logger heads for the next ten minutes, with both teams trying to show who was dominant upfront. Zac Sibley wrapped up the mornings proceedings with simple hands from the backs leading to the final try. With the extra's added, the score would not change again.

Frome Under 15's won the game 24-5 against a very physical Bristol side. Player of the Match awards for the game went to Kieran Stacey and Oscar Wallis.
