Role overview:

My client is an established, leading National Civil Engineering Contractor.

Due to planned growth, they are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis a Contracts Manager with a solid background Civil Engineering Projects.

They have recently been awarded a solid position on the Wessex Water Framework and are looking for an experienced individual to lead their team in delivering a portfolio of works.

The individual projects are expected to be worth between 2m and 10m in value.

The ideal candidate would reside in the region between Bournemouth and Bristol and will be expected to cover multiple sites as well as attending monthly meetings at the company's headquarters in West Hampshire.

Duties:

Management of the Project/Site Manager, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

Production of monthly reports Liaise with the Senior QS (Quantity Surveyor), Site QS.

Ensure production, review, and monitor the delivery of the project/site health, safety, environment & quality plans.

Develop effective relationships with the clients to maximise the perception & reputation of the business and secure profitable work.

Taking responsibility for a contract at handover from the estimator Plan & monitor resource requirements.

Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and use of best practice.

Being the first point of reference for leadership site issues

Civil Engineering experience required:

Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering projects

Water sector project experience preferred

HSE (Health and Safety Executive) legislation knowledge

Full driving licence

CSCS card Manager
