Somerset Skills & Learning (SS&L) are delighted to announce they're the new owners of Nunney Pre-School, near Frome.

As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, (CIC), SS&L's vision is to change lives through learning. The acquisition of Nunney Pre-School is an opportunity to provide the highest quality early years day care provision, whilst continuing to offer childcare courses, qualifications, pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships across the South West. Nunney Pre-School is the second early years setting SS&L has acquired, joining Little Discoveries Childcare in Yeovil.

SS&L will endeavour to maintain the high standards and quality of care established by the previous management committee and intend to make the transition as smooth as possible to ensure the children remain settled. Those families who attend Nunney Pre-School should notice very little change and it's very much a case of business as usual. The pre-school will continue to be managed day to day by Jenny Munnings and Rachel Rossi. SS&L will have management oversight and provide strategic leadership.

Kathryn Baker, Chief Executive of SS&L, said: "We have over five years' experience in providing learning opportunities to adults across Somerset. We want to continue to extend the range of people we support so children and their families, too, can benefit from the services we provide.

" As an education and training provider specialising in childcare and early years, we want to share our expertise and resources to expand our provision in Somerset, in line with our core vision of changing lives through learning."

The future's looking bright!
