Dave Gorman, the man behind hit show Modern Life Is Goodish as well as Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure, is back on the road with a new live show, kicking off with two warm-up, work-in-progress gigs at the Merlin Theatre in Frome this September.

Frome's much-loved community venue continues its established model of providing a welcome home to well-known comedians looking to polish their acts at the start of a tour.

More than 5,000 pothole complaints have been made in Somerset (Photo: Brett Jordan)

Over 5,000 complaints were made to Somerset County Council by the county's residents and businesses about potholes over the past 12 months, according to new Freedom of Information figures gathered by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

The FSB's national report revealed that local authorities across the country receive a complaint to fix a pothole every 46 seconds and also showed that the South West had the fourth largest amount of complaints of any region in the country.
