The Children's Festival, designed and run by Purple Elephant Family Support Charity, is an annual town-centre event with around 40 different FREE activities including crafts, music, storytelling, adventure sports, drama and forest school, with the fun being open to all ages. Children can try their hand at new activities, be entertained by local artists and perform for the crowd! It takes place in the Market Yard, around the Cheese and Grain, along (and over!) the river, into Welshmill Woods and in Welshmill Park.

Full menu, timings and list of events will update regularly on Purple Elephant website. Tickets are not required and any activities which need booking in advance (due to participant number limitations) will be made clear on social media, website etc. - the only important thing to do is to turn up and have fun!
