Axcis are happy to be working alongside an independent special school based in somerset. It is a small school that caters for children between 5-14 years old that have social emotional mental health, speech and language needs and/or autistic spectrum disorder.

They are currently looking for a teaching assistant to join their school, with a range of duties such as classroom pupil support, small group work and 1:1 learning support.

The school and staff team really push for a creativity in their approach, they see themselves as a family community and supportive team. They are currently looking to heighten and improve their physical education department so if you have a particular interest or qualification in physical education this could be a great advantage.

Previous experience working with a SEND child is desirable but not essential, if you have excellent communication skills, great attention to detail and the ability to record keep. We want to hear from you.

This role is a long term /permanent position, start date flexible for the right candidate.

Salary starting from 14.66 per hour but is negotiable if you have good experience.
