We are a dynamic company based in the heart of Frome, Somerset, dedicated to delivering exceptional IT services to our valued customers. As an IT Technician, you will be at the forefront of our mission, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing prompt technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our customers, utilizing available resources to swiftly resolve issues
- Efficiently managing customer inquiries via phone calls, logging support tickets, and ensuring timely resolution
- Delivering on-site and remote support as needed, ensuring seamless operation of our customers' IT systems
- Handling the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a wide range of hardware and software, including routers, servers, PCs, and laptops
- Installing, configuring, and supporting key applications such as Microsoft Server, SharePoint, Exchange, SQL, Office 365, and VOIP phone systems
- Collaborating with the team and clients on larger projects like Infrastructure Refreshes and Disaster Recovery, seeing them through to successful completion
- Proactively responding to system alerts to conduct preventive maintenance, minimizing downtime for our customers
Skills & Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Server operating systems and related applications (DNS, DHCP, SharePoint, Exchange, SQL)
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software products
- Basic familiarity with Apple Mac operating systems and troubleshooting mobile devices (iPhone/iPad, HTC, Google, Samsung, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor, adept at explaining complex issues in layman's terms
- Exceptional written communication skills for customer-facing correspondence and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in resolving complex issues and executing installations
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required
- Bonus: Aptitude in DIY projects
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a similar role
Desired Qualifications:
- Cisco CCNA
- MCP / MCITP / MCSE
- VMware VCP
- Citrix CCA
