Frome Town Council will be discussing the contentious issue of town parking next week on Wednesday 16, between 7-9pm at the Town Hall.

There are currently plans for a resident and paid for only scheme in the Trinity area of the town.

It comes as the parking restrictions in Weymouth Road have seen spaces there often left empty.

A resident of the Trinity area said: "The parking problems are mainly in the evening when people return from work, so I don't understand how a residents' scheme is going to help with that. It would make sense to put a halt to the Weymouth Road scheme and for the Badcox Car Park to be free again for residents, as it used to be."

Somerset County Council is currently preparing a series of town-wide parking reviews.

In addition to residents' parking, FTC will be discussing Frome Welcomes Refugees and the new Council Plan and more.

All members of the public are welcome to attend and share their thoughts.
