The Environment Agency has established how a tributary of the River Frome has turned bright blue near to the town.
The agency is continuing to investigate why the tributary turned bright blue, but spokesman Paul Gainey said they have now established the cause of the pollution and who was responsible.

The Asda store in Frome will be one of 302 of the brand's supermarkets around the country that will be using its freezers and fridges to help power the National Grid over the winter.
In a deal with National Grid, Asda will earn itself extra revenue by matching defrost times at the store to blackouts or surges in demand.

Investigations are under way after a tributary of the River Frome was turned bright blue close to the town.
The Environment Agency are on site today (August 10) monitoring the situation, after it was reported to them yesterday.
One and a half million souls were evacuated during the Second World War, including many to Frome.
At Radstock Museum, they are marking the anniversary of the first evacuee train with a series of tributes - once you have a valid entry ticket, the whole week is free.

The fourth Frome Comic Con will take place in the town over the weekend of 10th to 11th August, and it will feature stars from Game of Thrones, the Harry Potter films, and Star Wars.
The event has now moved to a different venue, been extended by a day and can now offer camping so the organisers can comfortably hold their visitors as well as offering even more to enjoy.
