A fire appliance from Frome was mobilised following calls from passing motorists who had spotted a car on fire down a lane at the above location. The vehicle was well alight on our arrival but they soon had it under control and prevented it from spreading or impacting the environment, using a hose reel jet to extinguish it and by making the vehicle, and area safe. The cause was confirmed to be deliberate so the Police were requested to attend, as the vehicle had been abandoned.
