Celebrate Nature at Ferne Animal Sanctuary’s Wildlife Day – Monday 26th May

Ferne Animal Sanctuary invites families, nature lovers, and four-legged friends to its Wildlife Day, taking place on Monday 26th May from 10am to 4pm. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, Ferne will come alive with a full day of dog-friendly activities, creative fun, and animal encounters – perfect for a family day out that connects visitors of all ages with the natural world.

Visitors can enjoy the Ferne Social Dog Walk, beginning at 11am, meeting at the bottom of the Ferne Animal Sanctuary main car park. The walk will follow public footpaths and small sections of road to The Cotley Inn and back (please note: the inn will be closed). There will be other dogs on the walk, so please ensure your dog is happy in the company of others. Tickets are £5, which includes entry to the sanctuary.

There will be a host of activities, including an arts & crafts room in Creative Corner, where participants can make wildlife-themed crafts and enjoy a game of bingo.

Outside, the fun continues with pond dipping and a wildlife trail throughout the sanctuary grounds. It's a day full of fun and nature for the whole family!

Entry will be at a reduced price for the event: £5 per adult, £1 per child.
