The Olympics have inspired, thrilled and already offered record-breaking results for team GB - now Frome has a message from the town's name at the games.

Athletic star Emily Diamond has sent a message to her fans and supporters in Frome.

Frome Nub News contacted Emily over Twitter to find out how she is getting on just after her first track session on July 21.

Now she has returned our good luck wishes with a message to Frome:

"Thank you so much for the support! Will try my best to make Frome proud xx"

Emily is an Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth Medallist and is in the four by 400 metre race.

Emily, who comes from a family of athletes, collected a gold medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2016 European Athletics Championships , followed by a bronze in the same discipline at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Best of Frome luck Emily.

She will be first competing on August 3 at the women's 400m heats.
