Could this Frome site being turned into a gym?

One of the many April Fool's jokes put out today was that the pub chain Wethersoons would be taking on the now empty site in The Westway in Frome.

The shop was due to be taken on by the clothing chain Peacocks, but although Nub News has never had it formerly confirmed, the shop's parent company Edinburg Woollen Mill went into administration last year after a collapse in sales due to the pandemic.

So the shop remains empty.

Today (April 1) many people were fooled by the 'news' that it was being eyed up by the pub chain which runs 872 pubs in the UK and Ireland.

Three areas in the Westway are now being marketed by the commercial leasing company Smith Price, who are also advertising a lease for the floor above the commercial unit which would have housed Peacocks.

That is a total of 6,000 square feet and certainly it looks like what it is rumoured to becoming - a 24 hour gym.
