The Discover Frome Information Point is expanding its opening hours by adding an additional day and is recruiting volunteers to join their friendly team. The hub of local knowledge and information, based within Black Swan Arts on Bridge Street, will now be open on Tuesdays too which means that the team will be available Tuesday to Saturday from 11am-2pm, plus on Sundays when the Independent Market is on.

As well as details about the events and activities happening in the town, Discover Frome also boasts locally sourced gifts such as prints, books and bags to entice residents and visitors alike. It's the perfect place to get the information you need from finding a new cycling route, to discovering an exciting new class or simply picking up a bus timetable.

Cllr Ali Barclay said, "It's wonderful that Discover Frome is proving so popular that we are able to open an extra day each week. Becoming an ambassador for the Information Point is a great opportunity to engage with the local community and help support an important part of our unique town's offer. Not only that, but volunteering is an opportunity to develop your skills, learn something new and many find it very rewarding."

Discover Frome Ambassadors are the welcoming and approachable face for residents and visitors to the town. It would suit someone who enjoys meeting new people and is a font of knowledge when it comes to Frome. The role includes opening and closing the Information Point as well as handling money and communicating directly with the public.
