Frome Good Afternoon Choir will welcome the Village Voices Choir and members of Bath Light Operatic Group for an evening concert in October.

They will all be in concert at Holy Trinity Church, Frome, on Saturday October 26th, at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).

Young traders assembled in Wells Market Place last week, for a special market dedicated to celebrating young entrepreneurs and the retail market industry, and there was success for a Frome business.

The South West Regional Final of the Young Traders Market was hosted by Mendip Markets in Wells. It was a day of trading and empowerment for young people who've committed their careers to the Retail Market Industry, and Pandan Street Food, from Frome, was one of the winners.

The Frome bypass is scheduled to close for four nights in September to enable Somerset Highways to carry out resurfacing works.

The A361 from the Blatchbridge Roundabout to Vinney Lane will be shut from 6pm to 7am from September 9 to 12.

This amazing lightning shot was captured by Frome photographer Tim Gander during the thunderstorm last night.

Tim, who runs takeagander.co.uk from his studio in Butts Hill, caught this fantastic image during the storm, which ran for a couple of hours around midnight and at one point saw flashes of lightning every couple of seconds.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Frome.

He was walking along Milk Street yesterday (Sunday 21 July) at around 1.45am when he was attacked by another man who was part of a small group.
