Fuel prices on forecourts hit a record high February 21.

Frome Medical Practice is working with local charities, Health Connections Mendip and Spark Somerset to help people get online and understand their digital devices.
Through Spark Somerset, Frome residents can now borrow a tablet and portable Wi-Fi device which will enable them to connect to the internet and access virtual clinics and health care apps, which support their health and wellbeing. The project also offers participants free guidance and training on how to use the loan devices and browse the web safely.
Residents in Somerset and Devon will pay more to the region's fire service after moves to stop an increase in its share of council tax were rejected.
Members of the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Authority met on Monday to discuss the budget and whether there should be an increase in the amount collected from council tax.

As of 7am today, (February 21) 242 of these issues have been cleared - the rest are being attended to right now.

A stretch of Somerset woodland could be "seamlessly extended" and enhanced for future generations if a nearby quarry is allowed to reopen.
Hanson Aggregates, which employs around 3,500 people across its 280 UK sites, has applied to reopen Westdown Quarry, which lies near the A361 between Frome and Shepton Mallet.

Plans to store 100 more bodies at Bristol region's mortuary have been approved.
The decision to extend the morgue at Flax Bourton came after the city's director of public health told councillors it was regularly over capacity during winter and there was a risk it could become "overwhelmed".
The Frome RFC U16s were the only Mini & Junior side in action over the weekend when they braved the wind and rain of Storm Franklin as they travelled to Bath to face Oldfield Old Boys RFC.

Following a series of further incidents caused by high winds on Sunday evening, SWR is urging customers not to travel on Monday.
While the company say they are working hard to run as many services as they safely can, strong winds and a 50mph speed restriction will cause delays and cancellations throughout the day.
