Vicki Burke, author and musician to launch new book at Hunting Raven Books in Frome.

Local musician and writer, Vicki Burke, is to launch her new book at Hunting Raven Books in Frome on Thursday 24th February at 7pm. The book, the second in her trilogy, continues her journey from her arrival in Frome almost ten years ago. When Vicki, an established saxophonist and harpist, quickly started to engage in this vibrant town, she felt it begin to open doors and expand her way of looking at life.

Frome RFC welcomed Bracknell RFC to The Lane on Saturday looking forward to putting last week's defeat to Beaconsfield behind them.

From the ensuing kick off Bracknell moved the ball quickly through the hands and their 10 identified a gap in the Frome defence to break through and release his Flanker to score under the posts.

There was widespread damage across Somerset today with highways teams having to deal with in excess of fifty trees down.

Two roads across the Mendips that were closed in late morning due to fallen trees, ï¸B3134 Burrington Combe andï¸Brockley Combe Road. Another road out of action, Brooks Road, in Street with a tree blocking the road. A further road in Sparkford was also closed to through traffic.
