Frome Town Football Club has taken an unusual step of issuing an extraordinary statement to clarify comments it had made in a statement last summer about the Supporters Club committee.
The Club wanted to make clear that it comments about "misplaced funds" were a totally separate part of the statement and in no way should be attached to the supporters club.
Two goals, one player- man of the match Robert Hobbs-and it was festive enough for Frome.
His second goal was described by one of the spectators in the small but dedicated fan base, as simply "beautiful".With Hobbs attempting a one-two with Simpson but instead Simpson flicking it to another forward,Jonathan Davies, who then put Hobbs through for a tidy finish.By Guest

With all league fixtures for our seniors and minis and juniors finished for the year, the players and families of Frome RFC can look forward to a well deserved break over the festive period. However, there will still be some rugby action at Gypsy Lane when the Annual Frome RFC 'Town V Gown' Paul Lovatt Cup will be held on December 27.
The annual Christmas fixture, now played in honour of Club Stalwart Paul Lovatt. sees a select Frome RFC 'Town' XV face the returning 'Gown' XV - a team made up of Frome RFC players who are either studying away at University or who have moved away but return for the holidays. The game kicks off at 2pm.
On Saturday Frome RFC 2nd XV made the short journey to Bath to face high flying Avonvale RFC in search of a solid performance.
The visitors started well and after the first ten minutes had set a strong start winning their line outs and the first few scrums, however this was all in their own half, and on the 12 minute mark, the home side managed to build some pressure and from a line out built the drive and peered there way over for the first points of the day.
Frome RFC welcomed Swanage & Wareham RFC were to 'the Lane' on Saturday in front of a large crowd of supporters and ex players who were attending the annual reunion dinner. The side were also joined by players from the U9's as they ran out.
The visitors came to Frome on the back of a huge win against Devizes RFC so the home side were expecting a hard battle.
